If you’ve ever felt the sheer despair of finding the perfect dress, top or shoes online, added them to your basket only to get to the check-out to be told that the item is no longer available, then you’ll be wanting to read on, as we’ve got something that might just help you out.

What would normally follow a devastating moment like this is hours, days or weeks hitting refresh to see if the item becomes available again. Sometimes this pays off but mostly it ends up being an enormous waste of your time and incredibly frustrating. But the internet has finally given us another option. It has given us Shoptagr.

So What is It And How Does It Work?

Shoptagr is an app that you can download onto your browser or mobile that will notify you when your
favourite items come back in stock in your preferred size, or if there is a price drop. Praise be!

Shoptagr doesn’t work on every website, though it’s got a pretty solid list of companies it does work with and it isn’t just for fashion brands. As well as the likes of ASOS, J.Crew, Topshop and Zara you can also use it on Amazon, IKEA and Boots among many others.

When you do stumble upon a site that it is compatible with, the Shoptagr logo appears in the corner of your browser and you can save the item you’re looking at and set-up the notifications you want.

Is It Any Good?

I busied away adding items that I’d been trying to get my hands on for months and waited…
and not very much happened for the first few days and I wasn’t sure if I’d done it right.

Then after about a week or so I got an email overnight that the gorgeous pink Lululemon 7/8 leggings I’d been eyeing and which had been out of stock in my size for ever and a day, were now back in stock. OK, Shoptagr officially had my attention!

I waited a few more days and not much happened again. That is until I was on Holland & Barret’s website purchasing some much-needed vitamins during lockdown and went to the check-out. All of a sudden a little Shoptagr pop-up appeared telling me it had some coupons that might work and asked if I wanted to try them. Ummm Yessss!

I watched as it tested 2 different codes for me and to my surprise one worked and I got 86p off my purchase. Not an enormous amount saved, granted, but as someone who loves a bargain and is always looking for a deal, Shoptagr just became my new favourite thing.

The biggest win though came when I was perusing the Motel Rocks website. I’d been thinking of purchasing a midi dress I really liked and decided to add it to my bag to see what the shipping costs were. Again, forgetting I even had Shoptagr, the icon appeared again telling me it had some coupons to try. To my complete surprise, not only did one of them work but I got £9.50 off the dress. I was now a very happy customer.

What’s The Verdict?

I am completely sold on this app. It’s not too invasive and for the most part you forget you have it until you need it. It is the perfect tool for anyone who frequently finds that their size sells out particularly fast (literally every Petite item ever made). They have also just launched a cashback tool for any fans of similar sites like Topcashback and Quidco.

It also works on mobile so you don’t have to change devices every time you see something you want to save. It is a little trickier to use on your mobile, but it does also work across mobile apps like ASOS which is great. The only downside is that it won’t automatically search for coupons on mobile so always make your purchase on a desktop browser which has Shoptagr installed on it.
